IKF Point Kickboxing© Circuit Rating System

The IKFPoint Kickboxing© Circuit Rating System will give promoters the opportunity to choose the level of rating they would like to receive from the IKFPoint Kickboxing© Rating System. Depending on what rating level they choose will determine how many points each participant will receive for winning at their tournament. The amount of Points available to win at each tournament will encourage more participation.

All tournament flyers, posters and other advertisement will be stamped with the official IKF Point Kickboxing© Logo and its rating.

  • The Rate is the cost to each promoter to receive a particular IKF Point Kickboxing© rating.
  • The Points are what each competitor receives for winning in their division

Special Rate Note: A promoter does not have to have a certain amount of competitors to obtain a specific rating for their tournament. The promoter will have the option to choose. However, if at the event the amount of competitors exceeds the amount of competitors listed on the Promoter application, the promoter will be charged the rate as noted on the ratings chart.

Team Competition: Team will split points among members or make a decision to who they wish their points to go to on the team. The team must be in 100% agreement on how and who they want to give their points to.

Cash: Some Tournaments will offer cash and trophies as awards for winning . However, the award, be it lesser or greater will have no bearing on the IKF Point Kickboxing© Circuit Rating System.

Fighter of the Year:
The fighter with most points at the end of the year will receive the honor of being called IKF Point Kick Boxing Champion of the Year in their division. There will also be a IKF Point Kick Boxing of the year for all divisions combined based on overall points. Additionally, there will be an on going or World Ranking for Point Kick Boxers in separate weight divisions as the PKB grows. The running points will determine the current rankings.

However, the current rankings will not determine the annual over all fighter for that year. In a case where the points are close, the second place fighter may compete in a tournament and win at the end of the year whereas the first place person loses out. With enough points, this would give the formerly second place person… fighter of the year.

The start date would be the first of each year.
(January 1st and ending on the last day of the year December 31st. )

The object here is for competitors to stay busy competing in as many IKF Sanctioned Point Kickboxing© tournaments and winning as many points as possible. (winning first, second, third, fourth place or team competition)

The Overall Fighter Of The Year will have a profile story done on the IKF web site's news page and possibly other IKF News sources. They will receive awards ranging from trophies, belts, cash and or certificates from the IKF Point Kickboxing© Division. This will be determined by the IKFPoint Kickboxing© World Director and IKF Staff, Johnny Davis.

Want to Promote IKF Point Kickboxing©?
Here's how you can profit from hosting an event in your area!

A Promoter has two ways to promote IKF Point Kickboxing©, in a division of an already established event or host a separate tournament.

  1. The Promoter can include an IKF Point Kickboxing© division in their Point Karate tournament, MMA or other type martial arts event. They would have the event sanctioned by the IKF Point Kickboxing© Division which includes bringing in an IKF Point Kickboxing© Official to run the event.
    • The promoter takes 100% of spectator fees which should be a big incentive to host the event and 100% of registration fees. They will only need to pay their rating and IKFPoint Kickboxing© Representative Fee.
  2. As an alternative, the promoter may want The IKF Point Kickboxing© division to promote the Point Kickboxing© division for them at their event. In this case, here are the following guidelines.
    • The promoter could allow the IKF Point Kickboxing© division to promote the tournament, organize and run the tournament within their Karate tournament or martial arts event. The promoter would assist the IKF Point Kickboxing© Director or Representative with lending their mailing list and, or sending out IKF Point Kickboxing© promotional flyers with their tournament or events' promotional flyers. The promoter will also provide needed space for rings etc. The space needed will be determined by the promoter and the IKF Point Kickboxing© Representative. All officials chosen by promoter will need to attend an IKF Point Kickboxing© Officials mandatory meeting at or before the start of the event. The time of the meeting will be determined by Promoter and IKF Point Kickboxing© Representative.
    • The IKF Point Kickboxing© Division will receive a percentage of each IKFPoint Kickboxing© competitor for the event as well as receive normal IKF Point Kickboxing© Representative fees and sanctioning fees for working the event.
    • The promoter takes 100% of spectator fees which should be a big incentive to host the event and a percentage of the registration fees.
